Kindergarten class at Coolville Elementary School tours EMS station and ambulance

This lively group was from Miss Cremeans and Miss Miller’s Kindergarten class at the Coolville Elementary School. Capt. Tim Rodehaver coordinated the event and, along with EMT Jake Ridenour and EMT Rachel Rodgers (pictured in the first photo), treated the kids to an educational and fun field trip.

If your group or organization would like a public speaker from Athens County EMS, or if you’d like to arrange a tour of one of our stations and/or ambulances, contact Alison at EMS headquarters. Her phone is (740) 797-9560 or email aroush@acems.org.

VHF and UHF Radio Equipment

Athens County EMS is accepting bids on narrow-band capable VHF and UHF radio equipment. Radios were working when removed from service but may have battery issues or have parts missing that must be repaired or replaced to make the equipment operational again. Portable radios do not have chargers. All equipment is being sold “as-is”. There is a minimum bid price on some items. To inspect the radios, contact Chief Rick Callebs at rcallebs@acems.org. Bids must be received in writing before September 27, 2016 at 8:00 am. Click here to view the equipment for sale.
